Supported Providers
Azotha organises its model routes into categories so you can quickly find the right provider for your situation.General Purpose
OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google Gemini, Mistral, and xAI — the flagship reasoning and generation models suited to the widest range of software-building tasks.
Cloud Platforms
Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, and Amazon Bedrock — use the AI infrastructure already embedded in your existing cloud environment, with the compliance posture that comes with it.
Speed-Optimized
Groq, DeepSeek, and MiniMax — designed for low-latency, high-throughput workloads where response speed matters as much as capability.
Open Source / Self-Hosted
Ollama, LM Studio, and Hugging Face — run open-weight models locally or on your own infrastructure for maximum control over data and cost.
Aggregators & Gateways
OpenRouter, Together AI, Fireworks AI, Cloudflare Workers AI, and Vercel AI Gateway — unified routing layers that give you access to dozens of underlying models through a single integration point.
Developer Tools
GitHub Copilot and Z.AI — AI tooling built for development workflows, integrated directly into your Azotha workspace alongside your other model routes.
European Routes
If your organisation operates under GDPR or other data residency requirements that prohibit personal or sensitive data from leaving the European Union, Azotha offers European-only provider routes. When you select a European route, your data is processed exclusively on EU-based infrastructure — it never transits through non-EU servers or jurisdictions.European routes are available across plans. If data residency is a requirement for your organisation, tell the Azotha team when you set up your workspace and they will configure the appropriate routes from the start.
Avoiding Vendor Lock-In
Your project context, codebase, and workspace are stored in Azotha’s managed environment — not inside any model provider’s platform. This means changing your model route has no effect on the software that has already been built or the context your agent has accumulated. You can switch from OpenAI to Anthropic, move from a cloud-platform route to a European-only route, or try a speed-optimised provider for a specific task — all without migrating data, reconfiguring infrastructure, or losing any project history. The model is a tool your agent uses; it is not the foundation your project is built on.How to Choose a Model
Not every project needs the same model. Use these guidelines as a starting point and work with the Azotha team to fine-tune your selection.General-purpose software building
General-purpose software building
For most day-to-day tasks — building features, updating components, debugging, and connecting services — OpenAI and Anthropic (Claude) are strong defaults. Both offer broad capability across code generation, reasoning, and natural-language understanding.
EU data residency requirements
EU data residency requirements
If your organisation cannot allow data to leave the EU, select a European route. Azotha’s team will identify the highest-capability option available within EU infrastructure for your specific use case.
Cost-sensitive or high-volume workloads
Cost-sensitive or high-volume workloads
For workloads where you are running many requests — automated testing pipelines, large data processing tasks, or high-frequency agent loops — Groq or DeepSeek provide fast, cost-efficient throughput without sacrificing output quality for most tasks.
You already use Azure, GCP, or AWS
You already use Azure, GCP, or AWS
If your organisation has an existing relationship with a major cloud provider, routing through Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, or Amazon Bedrock lets you keep AI workloads inside your existing cloud account — potentially applying committed spend, existing security controls, and familiar billing.
You want full control over the model
You want full control over the model
If your policy requires running models on infrastructure you own or manage, Ollama or LM Studio routes let you connect open-weight models running locally or in your own environment. Azotha integrates with them the same way it does with hosted providers.
On the Azotha Autonomous plan, your AI usage budget is unlimited. You pay the flat monthly fee and Azotha absorbs all underlying model costs — regardless of which providers you use or how many requests your agents make. This removes any need to track or optimise for model cost at the usage level.
